The Superhuman Games

Location: Greville Smyth Park, Bristol.

Date: 28th May 2016

Event Type: Partner Event

Ability Rating: Open to All

The ultimate test of fitness, this competition is open to any who's got what it takes to take on the challenges. This year's workouts haven't been announced yet, but here are some of the delights from 2015:

  • A 20-minute AMRAP of a 400m assault course with 15 obstacles,
  • Tyre flips and burpees,
  • Farmers carries and sandbag drags.

The Irish Throwdown

Location: Lagan Valley Leisureplex, Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Date: 4th and 5th June 2016.

Event Type: Individual

Ability Rating: Elite

Ireland's biggest event is back in June this year. It's open to athletes from across the world, and in 2015 had competitors from over 15 countries.

If you think you've got what it takes, you'll need to complete the qualifiers first. The top 150 athletes will be invited to take part in the finals. If you fancy giving it a shot, click here to register.

 

Scale the Heights

Location: Various

Date: Various

Event Type: Individual

Ability Rating: Inclusive

Scale the Heights are all-inclusive events, designed for everyone. With the competition driven by music, it offers something slightly different to the other events out there.

Following the online qualifiers, 4 semi-finals take place across the country, with a final held at Reebok CrossFit Reading in September.

The European Inferno

Location: National Indoor Athletics Centre, Cardiff

Date: 13th and 14th August 2016

Event Type: Pairs

Ability Rating: Inclusive

The European Inferno has been one of the biggest competitions for a few years now. 

It's another inclusive event. If you haven't competed before, this is the perfect opportunity for you to throwdown with one of your training buddies. However, places sold out in record time again this year! If you don't already have a spot, you'll have to join the waiting list.
